The dwarfs， when they came home in the evening， found snowwhite lying upon the ground， she breathed no longer and was dead. They laid her upon a bier， and all seven of them sat round it and wept for her， and wept three days long. Then they were going to burybury vt.埋葬， 掩埋， 隐藏 her， but she still looked as if she were living， and still had her pretty red cheeks. They said， “We could not bury her in the dark ground.” And they had a transparenttransparent adj.透明的， 显然的， 明晰的 coffin of glass made， so that she could be seen from all sides， and they laid her in it， and wrote her name upon it in golden letters， and that she was a kings daughter. Then they put the coffin out upon the mountain， and one of them always stayed by it and watched it. And birds came too， and wept for snowwhite， first an owl， then a ravenraven n.大乌鸦， 掠夺， and last a dove. 小矮人晚上回到家，发现白雪公主躺在地上，嘴里不再有气息，已经死了。他们抬起她来，寻找是不是有毒药。解开了她头上的发带，梳理她的头发，用水和酒擦洗她的脸颊，可是全都没有用。可爱的小姑娘死了，永远地死了。小矮人们把她放在灵柩上，七个人一块儿坐在她旁边，哭啊哭啊，哭了三整天。三天后，他们想埋葬她，可她还像活人一般容光焕发，脸蛋儿红红的，非常漂亮。他们说：“我们不能把她埋进黑暗的地下！”于是做了一个透明的玻璃棺材，从四面都能看得见她，还用金字拼写了她的名字，说明她是一位公主。然后他们把棺材搬到外面的山上，并且总是留一个在那儿守护着她。山林中的雀鸟也飞来为白雪公主哭泣，先是一只猫头鹰，随后是一只乌鸦，最后是一只小鸽子。
And now snowwhite lay a long， long time in the coffin， and she did not change， but looked as if she were asleep， for she was as white as snow， as red as blood， and her hair was as black as ebony. It happened， however， that a kings son came into the forest， and went to the dwarfs， house to spend the night. He saw the coffin on the mountain， and the beautiful snowwhite within it， and read what was written upon it in golden letters. Then he said to the dwarfs， “Let me have the coffin， I will give you whatever you want for it.” But the dwarfs answered， “We will not part with it for all the gold in the world.” Then he said， “Let me have it as a gift， for I cannot live without seeing snowwhite. As he spoke in this way the good dwarfs took pity upon him， and gave him the coffin. And now the kings son had it carried away by his servants on their shoulders. And it happened that they stumbledstumble v.绊倒， 使困惑， 蹒跚， 结结巴巴地说话， 踌躇 over a treestump， and with the shock the poisonous piece of apple which snowwhite had bitten off came out of her throat. And before long she opened her eyes， lifted up the lidlid n.盖子， <；美口>；限制， 眼睑 of the coffin， sat up， and was once more alive. 听他这么一说，善良的小矮人对王子产生了同情，把玻璃棺材送给他了。他立刻叫佣人们扛起来并把它抬了回去。谁知半道上他们让一棵小树绊了一跤，猛地一震，那块白雪公主咽下去的毒苹果从喉咙里掉出来了。不一会儿，她睁开眼睛，推开棺材盖，坐起身来，复活了。
“Oh， heavens， where am I. ”she cried. The kings son， full of joy， said， “You are with me.” And told her what had happened， and said， “I love you more than everything in the world， come with me to my fathers palace， you shall be my wife.” And snowwhite was willing， and went with him， and their weddingwedding n.婚礼， 婚宴， 结合， 结婚典礼 was held with great show and splendorsplendor n.光彩， 壮观， 杰出。 “啊，上帝，我在哪儿哟？”她喊出来。王子高兴极了，说 “你在我身边！”接着讲了发生的事，随后又说：“我爱你胜过爱世界上的一切。跟我回我父王的宫里去吧，我要你做我的妻子。”白雪公主也喜欢王子，便跟着他去了。他们的婚礼安排得很盛大，很隆重。
But snowwhites wicked stepmother was also bidden to the feast. When she had arrayedarray vt.部署， 穿着， 排列 herself in beautiful clothes she went before the lookingglass， and said， 白雪公主邪恶的继母也受到了邀请。她穿上美丽的衣服，走到魔镜前说：“Lookingglass， lookingglass， on the wall， who in this land is the fairest of all.”

The glass answered， “Oh， queen， of all here the fairest art thou， but the young queen is fairer by far as I trow.”

Then the wicked woman uttered a cursecurse n.诅咒， 咒语， 祸根， 祸因， and was so wretched， so utterly wretched that she knew not what to do. At first she would not go to the wedding at all， but she had no peace， and had to go to see the young queen. And when she went in she recognized snowwhite， and she stood still with ragerage n.愤怒， 情绪激动， 狂暴， 精神错乱 and fear， and could not stir. But iron slippersslipper n.拖鞋， 制轮器 had already been put upon the fire， and they were brought in with tongs， and set before her. Then she was forced to put on the redhot shoes， and dance until she dropped down dead.
恶毒的妇人狠狠咒骂了一句，非常吃惊，非常生气，气得简直晕了头。一开始，她压根儿不想去参加婚礼，可是不看见年轻的新娘，又不得安宁，只好去了。她刚一踏进大厅，立刻认出了白雪公主，吓得呆呆站着，一点儿动弹不得。这时候，早已放在炭火上烧红的铁鞋子被钳子夹过来，放在了她的跟前。她被迫穿上火红的铁鞋跳舞，一直跳到倒在地上死去。
