was sent by Bekbaqa to pit himself against the arrogant and stupid guy.
The two stalwart giants fought with each other just like two brawny yaks
or camels having it out with each other. At the same time, they yelled at
the top of their voice. As their feet tramped on the ground, the surrounding
mountains seemed to tremble repeatedly. The two guys were well-matched
in strength. They fought for three days and three nights and neither could
win. Another strong fighter from Hindostan called Kurarep spurred his horse
forward in order to assist his compatriot. He touched Tuktukurt with his
pointed spearhead in order to stoke up his guts. Then he thrust his spear at the
waist of Bozoi. Instantly, a stream of blood squirted out of the waist of Bozoi.
Legend of Manas
The Kyrgyz wrestler who fell a prey to such a contemptible plot flew into a rage at once. He shouted the slogan of “Manas” at the top of his voice. In his temper, he lifted Tuktukurt above his head and then flung him at Kurarep. They collided in mid-air with a clash, smashing into dust all at once.
In the field for the game of bayonet and spear fighting, Otower was all bluff and bluster, presuming upon his power to intimidate others. He called the name of Bekbaqa at the top of his voice in a bid to instigate the anger of the khan. As Otower raved deliriously and shamelessly, many good-natured Kyrgyz bystanders stood there ranting and raving about why their wise khan would invite such a savage ruffian to attend the event. In their opinion, their khan was so impertinent that he did not take into account the possible adversity brought by the evil but tough ruffian. On the contrary, the stalwarts of Otower rejoiced secretly. The reason was quite simple: Almost all of them underestimated the prowess of Bekbaqa Khan. In their opinion, it was time for them to ravage the possessions of Kyrgyz people after he was killed.
“Otower, my poor chap! You are one of my guests. So I am unwilling to kill you right here. But if you are getting tired of living, I will help you. So go ahead! I am waiting here,” Bekbaqa said in a composed manner.
Otower dreamed of killing his rival at a stroke. So he thrust his spear at Bekbaqa violently. However, such a pipe dream turned into a nightmare pretty soon. Although the spear of Otower penetrated the waist of Kyrgyz khan, the spear broke with a snap. Holding half of spear shaft, Otower spurred his horse and ran away all in a fluster.
The Kyrgyz khan turned around his horse swiftly and cut off the enemy’s escape. He pointed his spear to his enemy, saying: “Three ancestors of yours have been killed by this spear because they invaded us. Similarly, your invasion today will be terminated at the cost of your own life. But I don’t want to stain my spear!” After finishing his words, the Kyrgyz khan drew another half of the broken spear from his waist and then tossed it at Otower. It penetrated the chest of Otower who fell down from horseback and died instantly.
After the death of the crime culprit who launched the invasion, the troops of Khangai pulled out quickly. On their way back, they tried to plunder the tribesmen living on the side of the Ili River. However such a plot was known by Kyzlkyz, who had turned into a little bird for the purpose of nosing about for information among enemies. She flew back to Bekbaqa swiftly and

reported it to him.
When the aggressor troops made it to the side of the Ili River, they came into unavoidable confrontation with Bekbaqa once again. The prowess of the brave Kyrgyz khan totally terrified all of the fugitive soldiers. Consequently, they vied with each other to run away in a fluster.
