He， who on a southern campain was commander
Of a hundred thousand men， is now to wander.
Relieved of post， he lacks family property；
Growing old， he still holds dear this sage dynasty.
His troops， stationed alone， safeguarded the frontier，
And his sword knew well he ne’er shrank from death for fear.
Now， on such vastness of waters near Jiang-Han there，
I wonder， with the sun setting， he will drift where！
