“新约·哥林多前书7∶2-4” 但要免淫乱的事，男子当各有自己的妻子；女子也当各有自己的丈夫。丈夫当用合宜之分待妻子；妻子待丈夫也要如此。妻子没有权柄主张自己的身子，乃在丈夫；丈夫也没有权柄主张自己的身子，乃在妻子。
But since there is so much immorality， each man should have his own wife， and each woman her own husband。 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife， and likewise the wife to her husband。 The wifes body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband。 In the same way， the husbands body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife。
夫妻彼此以诚相待，双方要尽量满足对方的需求，彼此得到愉悦，相亲相爱，坚贞不渝，永不背叛。《圣经》认为，夫妻的身体属于对方，因为上帝造第一对男女的时候已经作了这样的安排，妻子是从丈夫身上取下的一根肋骨造的，这就让丈夫知道，妻子是自己身上的骨肉，辜负了妻子就是对自己不真诚；同时也让妻子知道，自己的身体来自丈夫，当然也属于丈夫，不能背叛丈夫。
