east apparently got the field to tremble repeatedly. Almambet looked into the distance, saying: “This is the theurgy of the sharpshooter Shipshiayidar. Now, the ruthless killer has already come. Frankly speaking, Manas Khan already flied in the face of discretion in allowing Konurbai fifteen days for war preparations. The warmonger could make the best of the fifteen days to ask for the sharpshooter’s help. When the decisive fighting kicks off tomorrow, I am afraid no one will survive. I am not shouting the odds or inflating the enemy’s arrogance. We’d better have a rest today and be well prepared for the imminent decisive fighting.”
Shortly before the daybreak, the sentiment haunted the Khitan prince and all the other warriors. Almambet kicked off the short farewell ceremony in an approach to tightly embracing the comrades-in-arms one by one. Tortured by the hunch of parting from his comrades-in-arms for ever, The Khitan prince looked into the eyes of every companion and wept in sadness. When he bade farewell to Manas by a tight hug, the Khitan prince burst into tears and said: “I will not feel regret for my death for the sake of the well-being of Kyrgyz people. I just hope to cherish the partnership between us for ever.”
“How can you lose your courage and firmness? A person’s death cannot be foretold, as always happens. But you said that death will befall all of us inevitably. I personally think that what you said will get our morale to sink lower. So don’t say that again. Please don’t puncture the morale of Kyrgyz soldiers,” said Serhaq, who composed himself while bidding farewell to the Khitan prince. Almambet nodded while looking into the eyes of him.
As a matter of fact, all the people knew that death would fall on the heads of them inevitably. What they did at the moment was to bless and comfort each other.
As the day broke, the deafening roll of war drums reverberated across the valley. Hardly had the morning mist risen from the depth of the valley when the countless enemies began to move towards Manas’ grand army. The enemies’ all-out offensive kicked off with the soldiers shouting the slogans of “Hang on! Kill Kyrgyz guys all! Come on! Surely win the battle!” These slogans were chosen on purpose by enemies to boost their morale.
Led by Joloy, a large number of soldiers held their weapons and marched in formidable and mighty formation towards the grand army of Manas.

in fight. In fact, Manas fell ill and was looked after by Bakai in the barracks. A bodyguard named Irqi Uul took the responsibility of protecting them. Kyrgyz warriors fought hand to hand with the brutal enemies and neither side could get the upper hand. Almambet tried his best to root out every part of the battlefield in order to find out the sharpshooter.
The unprecedented war was under way. The sly sharpshooter hid himself in the crowd so as not to be recognized by others, especially by Almambet. “I cannot fall into the hands of Almambet. In that case, I will lose my life,” he thought. Under the cover of chaos in the battlefield, Shipshiayidar shot arrows at the warriors of Manas repeatedly. The sharpshooter took delight in carrying out such a frightful slaughter. So many years of going on hungting spree in mountains had turned him into a cold-blooded monster. Every time he killed a person, a special pleasant sensation would come into being in the depth of his heart. A lot of Kyrgyz warriors were killed by the ruthless sharpshooter.
Having seen a Qalmaq general called Kyituer riding the horse of Agibai, Serhaq supposed that Agibai might have got in trouble. He burst into tears out of indignation. As a result, he rode towards the enemies in spite of the dangers in attempt to take back the magical horse. He raised his axe to hew at the enemies repeatedly. Fortunately, his efforts did not fall by the wayside. Serhaq fought his way out of a heavy encirclement in the end. All Qalmaq soldiers were daunted by the warrior’s unrivaled valor and their well-organized mighty contingents disappeared in an instant because of the sudden retreat in disorder.
At that same instant, the magical horse screamed in sorrow at sight of Serhaq, who rushed and fought in the midst of enemies to and fro. And the horse’s scream deepened the grief and indignation of the warrior in turn. Vigorously raised in anger by Serhaq, the sharp sprear pierced the chest of Kyituer. The Qalmaq general’s body rolled down to the ground from horseback in an instant. The intelligent horse rushed towards the remains of Agibai, its deceased master. Serhaq tied the remains of Agibai to the horse back, ordering the horse to gallop towards the barracks of Koshoi.
Serhaq returned back to the battlefield shortly after that, holding back his tears. Without the ability of resisting his great valor, a number of enemies were impaled on his pointed spears one by one and died subsequentely. Muzburchak, a son of Buudayik, chased the remnants of the enemy forces
