If Ispeak in the tongues of men and of angels,but have not love,I am anoisy gong or aclanging cymbal.And if Ihave prophetic powers,and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,and if Ihave all faith,so as to remove mountains,but have not love,I am nothing.If Igive away all Ihave,and if Ideliver up my body to be burned,but have not love,I gain nothing.
Love is patient and kind;love does not envy or boast;it is not arrogant or rude.It does not insist on its own way;it is not irritable or resentful;it does not rejoice at wrongdoing,but rejoices with the truth.Love bears all things,believes all things,hopes all things,endures all things.
Love never ends.As for prophecies,they will pass away;as for tongues,they will cease;as for knowledge,it will pass away.For we know in part and we prophesy in part,but when the perfect comes,the partial will pass away.When Iwas achild,I spoke like achild,I thought like achild,I reasoned like achild.When Ibecame aman,I gave up childish ways.For now we see in amirror dimly,but then face to face.Now Iknow in part;then Ishall know fully,even as Ihave been fully known.
So now faith,hope,and love abide,these three;but the greatest of these is love.

爱永存不朽，而先知之恩，终必消失；语言之恩，终必停止；知识之恩，终必消逝。因为我们现在所知道的，只是局部的；我们做先知所讲的，也只是局部的；及至那圆满的一来到，局部的就必定消逝。当我是孩子的时候，说话像孩子，看事像孩子，思想像孩子；几时我一成了人，就把孩子的事丢弃了。我们现在是借着镜子观看，模糊不清，到那时，就要面对面地观看了。我现在所认识的，只是局部的，那时我就要全认清了，如同我全被认清一样。
现今存在的，有信、望、爱三样，但其中最大的是爱。
