波上马嘶看棹去，柳边人歇待船归。

谁解乘舟寻范蠡，五湖烟水独忘机。
Ferrying South from Lizhou
Wen Tingyun
Over the limpid water reflect the slanting sun’s rays；
A winding isle merges in the vastness with the green hill.
A ferry is seen to row away in which a horse neighs；
To wait for the boat’s return， near willows men rest at will.
From some patches of sandgrasses， gulls are scattering apart；
O’er the boundless riverside fields soars a single egret.
Who understands Fan Li riding a boat to clear his heart，
Among five misty lakes， of worldly thoughts he’ll thence forget！
