江汉曾为客，相逢每醉还。
浮云一别后，流水十年间。
欢笑情如旧，萧疏鬓已斑。
何因不归去，淮上对秋山！

Once we were wanderers in the Jiang-Han area.
Each time we met， till dead drunk we wouldn’t say good-bye.
Then like drifting clouds we parted from each other
And ten years like flowing water have soon passed by.
To-day we meet again， as of old， happy and gay；
Only our hair at the temples has turned scarce and gray.
If asked why I won’t go home and rather here stay，
“Just to face autumn mountain on the Huai，” I’d say.
