Suddenly, Minister Nyima Trizun seemed to have hit on a new idea. Getting on his feet, he said to the king that magic might help defeat the invading Ling troops.
Having been reminded of one of their strong points, the Chayo king found new hope and became eager for battle again.
“Your Majesty, please send Tomin with 100 magicians to throw stones up into the air above the Ling troops tomorrow and, at the same time, ask 13 Tasi conjurors to act in coordination by performing their conjuring. In this way, the enemy will certainly be destroyed,” Nyima Trizun continued.
King Tolha Zhadui thus sent for the magicians and Tasi conjurors to make preparations for the coming attack.
On the second day, using their magic, Tomin together with 100 magicians quickly flew over Chizoin City. Finding that all the Ling troops were quartered in the city, Tomin was in high spirits. He immediately ordered the magicians to throw Heavenly stones and knives at them. All of a sudden, the city burst into flames and the air was thick with dust and smoke. Tomin burst into a loud fit of laughter, thinking that this was produced by his magicians and conjurors.
Just when Tomin was full of himself, the flames and dust in Chizoin disappeared and the Ling troops roared with derision.
“What’s happening?” Tomin was puzzled.
This was because Zhaotoin and the seers of the Ling had practiced their own divination beforehand and knew that Chayo’s magicians would attack. They thus created a false image of Chizoin City and hid the real one.
Being so surprised and annoyed, Tomin didn’t expect that the Ling magicians were much better than him. Although highly skilled in martial arts, Tomin and his men couldn’t rival the Ling troops. They were soon captured and taken prisoner.
The king of the Chayo State and his officials were waiting for Tomin’s victory in the palace when they were informed that Tomin and his 100 magicians had been captured by the Ling troops. This caused a sinking sensation among all of them. However, Sengga Zhadui insisted on going to fight the Ling army.
Meanwhile, the Ling army had set out from Chizoin and were marching towards the capital city of Chayo. Armed to the teeth, Sengga Zhadui jumped on his horse and rushed at the Ling army. Waving his sabre, he tried to kill everybody he met on the way. Zonglha Tsangpo was thus cut down and fell from his horse. Zhaba Lhunzhub also suffered a head wound.
Stopped by Chatsa and his son, Sengga Zhadui was finally surrounded by 30 Ling warriors. Sengga Zhadui opened a small hide bag which he had with him, and some poisonous gas oozed out of it immediately. All the Ling generals were gassed and fell into a coma. When Chatsa and Prince Zhalha got down from their horses, Sengga Zhadui turned to attack Gesar. Gesar fired an arrow at Sengga Zhadui. It hit Sengga Zhadui"s horse, and Sengga Zhadui was almost dislodged from his horse. Whispering a spell, he prayed to the War God of Chayo to help him. His horse became healed instantly. Before another arrow could be fired by Gesar, Sengga ran away. While fleeing back to his own army, he met Nyima Trizun who came to his aid.
Chatsa and Zhalha burnt incense and prayed in order to save the lives of the Ling warriors. Soon all of them came back to life gradually and were carried back to their tents to recuperate. When everything was taken care of, Chatsa and his son Zhalha went after Sengga Zhadui and soon caught up with him.
Nyima Trizun fought Chatsa and Zhalha, allowing Sengga to leave first. Several rounds later he was pierced in the stomach by Chatsa’s sabre which caused his intestines to fall out. Nyima glared at Chatsa and with one hand pushing back his intestines and the other holding his sabre, he continued fighting. Chatsa cut him in two in the middle.
