Shanghai Lao Feng Xiang Ltd. is developed from the Lao Feng Xiang silverware shop founded in 1848. With a history of over 160 years, Lao Feng Xiang has become a brand of century in China's jewellery industry. Hengyuanxiang was founded in 1927, and the Chinese name of it literally means 'always collect general merchandise and bring out great luck'. In 1956 Hengyuanxiang turned into a state-owned enterprise, and in 1987 the knitting wool store moved from Jinling Road to Nanjing Road.

大白兔奶糖
大白兔奶糖是上海冠生园出品的奶类糖果,1959年开始发售以来深受各地人民欢迎。商标是一只跳跃状的白兔,形象深入民心。
大白兔奶糖是白色、有嚼劲的圆柱形奶糖,长约3厘米、直径约1厘米,每颗用可吃的米纸包着,再用包装纸包好。每颗糖果热量20卡路里(84千焦耳)。
大白兔奶糖的前身源自1943年上海“爱皮西糖果厂”。该公司的商人尝试过当时英国的牛奶糖之后,认为味道不错,半年后便仿制出自家品牌的国产奶糖。包装则使用红色米奇老鼠的图案,并名为“ABC米老鼠糖”。由于售价比舶来品便宜,所以广受民众喜爱。直至1950年代,该糖果公司被收归国有,米奇老鼠被视为崇洋媚外的符号,于是包装图案改成白兔,并于1959年作为中华人民共和国国庆十周年的献礼产品。
起始时,制作大白兔奶糖的工厂每天只能生产800公斤,也依赖人手制作。不过由于当时物资短缺,大白兔奶糖凭着“七粒大白兔奶糖等于一杯牛奶”的宣传广告,被视为营养食品,伴随着一代人的成长。
时至今日,大白兔奶糖已经成为中国首屈一指的糖果品牌。周恩来总理甚至于1972年将大白兔奶糖馈赠访华的美国总统尼克松。该糖果品牌虽然已经有一定历史,但随着中国经济增长,城市和农村均对大白兔糖果的需求有增无减,尤其在农历新年期间,不少家庭的糖盒里都可以找到大白兔奶糖的踪影。2004年,大白兔奶糖销售额达6亿元人民币,每年以双位百分比递增,并向外出口至40多个国家和地区,包括美国、欧洲、新加坡等。
大白兔奶糖的口味和包装也不是一成不变的。资料指刚发售时,白兔图案是卧着的;其后修改成今日的跳跃状。另外除了传统的牛奶口味外,也添加了咖啡、花生、鲜果、红豆等口味,更加入富中国特色的“奶油话梅味”等。今日的奶糖经过多次改良后,主要成分包括砂糖、明胶、炼乳、奶油、奶粉等。
大白兔奶糖的商标1993年7月被中国国家工商行政管理总局、商标局认定为中国驰名商标,于1997年11月起转让至冠生园(集团)有限公司。
