be good at 表示“擅长于某一学科知识或技能”，也可表示“在……方面做得好。” be good at 后面接名词、代词、动词的-ing 形式，相当于do well in，例如：
Mike is good at swimming. 迈克擅长于游泳。
I am good at English. 我擅长英语。
但 be good at 与 do well in 也有一定区别，be good at 强调一种笼统情况，而 do well in 可表示一种情况，也可指在具体的一次活动中表现出色。例如：
Tom did well in that English test / sports meeting. 汤姆在那次英语考试中（运动会中）考得很好（表现出色）。这里不宜用 be good at，因为指的是具体的某一次。

maybe 和 may be 的区别是：maybe 是副词，意思是“也许、可能”，相当于 perhaps，常位于句首。例如：Maybe she’ll come tomorrow. 她可能明天来。may be 是情态动词 may 加上动词原形 be，意为“也许是，可能是”。例如：He may be in the office.
但两者可以互相转换。例如：You may be right. Maybe you are right. 你或许是对的。
